





Barbara Mori Born in 1978 in Uruguay, Barbara Mori Ochoa is an actress with Uruguayan, Japanese, and Mexican blood. She was involved in acting and modeling, but her biggest role came in 2004 when she played Rubi in a telenovela for Televisa. She moved to Mexico as a toddler after her parents divorced and a decade later she was spotted by fashion designer Marcos Toledo while she was waiting tables. He asked her to model for him because he noticed her striking beauty and great body. She started a great career for herself and even had a son with actor Sergio Mayer. Barbara Mori loved the acting business so she began studying at El Centro de Estudios de Formación Actoral, the Center for Acting Studies.
Her first acting job was in Al Norte del Corazon, North of the Heart, which was a Mexican soap opera. After this, she was involved in Mirada de Mujer and Tric Tac. Barbara Mori won the award for Best New Actress for her work in Mirada de Mujer.
By 1998, Barbara Mori was considered a leading lady and was offered her first leading role in Azul Tequila alongside actor Mauricio Ochmann. In 1999 she acted in Me Muero por Ti and the following year in Ispiracion, which was a Mexican comedy. Other work includes Amor Descarado as well as Rubi where she earned another award.
